History

K.V.Sala Old Boys Association was founded in the year 1940 by the notable alumni of the prestigious institution.  The founder office bearers did remarkable services to make the Association a vibrant one.

In 1970, with the liberal contributions of our old students a fund for the Old Boys Association was raised.  The fund so collected was donated to construct a hall in Thiruvalluvar Vidyasala Middle School which was christened as “K.V. SALA OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION HALL”.

Later, in 1981, Thiru..V.M.G. Rajasekaran, Thiru.S.P.G.C. Brindavan and Thiru.Sv.P.N.S.N. Jeyachandran took all out efforts to revive the association and its activities.  Since then, our Association has been rendering valuable services to the community at large and the students in particular.

The General Body Meetings, Executive Committee Meetings and OBA functions are conducted periodically by our Association. 15th of July, the birth day of our great Leader Shri. K. KAMARAJ is observed as the KVS Old Boys Day and is celebrated in a befitting manner. Free books and notebooks are distributed to the poor school students and scholarships and financial assistance are extended to the meritorious students who excel in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.

The association has created permanent funds in the form of deposits by collecting donations from our old students for the effective functioning of our Association.   The interest accrued from these deposits is used to distribute scholarships, free books and medals to the deserving students who are proficient in academics.

As many drops maketh the mighty ocean, we believe that the donations, however small it may be, may strengthen our association to reach out more number of students who are deprived of having quality education. Hence, we make a gentle appeal to the old students of this memorable school to donate liberally to the association and be a part of its noble mission.
